There is a handy command for auto-following your target in battle. Its mostly useful when duelling or pvping one on one.
The commands is just: /follow
And you gotta target your victim of course.

I have made a macro from /follow and then hotlinked it to ctrl + f.
So anytime in battle i press those keys, I automatically start following my target. This is very useful as Jedi, while fighting gunners.

i know how to make a macro, but how do you bind it to a key ?
and secondly what targetting mode should be used ? (locked target, the round circle... or free target, the crossair shapped in the form of +)

You can hotlink the macro under options somewhere, u know where u setup all other "keys"...then theres a category "macro" or u can find it under "all".

Which targeting mode to use. Hmm, well its a matter of taste really. But to be clear: There is an increased critical hit chance, when NOT using auto-target/autofire. Appearantly as high as 25%. So i try to fight manually as often as i can, But in some situations things get chaotic (and laggy), then i use autotarget and autofire and just concentrate on my forceskills.

U gotta try it out to be able to decide what suits you the best.

auto fire, does that also work for melee weapons ?
because actually i cant figure out anymore how to auto fire
before NGE i used auto fire and free target mode but now when i try to enable auto fire nothing happins...

and as far as which target mode to use. I didnt know about the critical strike increase in free target (the + mode ^^). I guess ill just have to see by trial and error Razz. If there are many people around in free target mode you only attack the target your + is at, luckly though you can hold in left klick and it will keep attacking as long as your aiming at a enemy target.

To get "auto-attack" to work, you first gotta have the target "locked" (Round circle) and after that hit your "auto-attack" button. In my case i have "B" bound as "lock target" and then i have "Y" to start auto-attacking.
